What is meant by our consciousness?
Actually, what it is all about is vibrating energy. Our
Universe is a sea of vibration. From the tiniest atom pulsating in an
energy field of its own, to the brainpower of an Einstein, life is vibrating energy continually
unleashing itself to be what it is destined to be.
One of the most exciting discoveries of quantum physics is the realization that our thoughts
affect the world around us. In the quantum realm--far smaller than protons and
neutrons--quantum scientists have conducted numerous experiments with the
smallest particles known.
We know that all life vibrates, but
humankind has the distinctive ability to direct its current vibration. The human brain consists of
neurons that compose thought patterns that direct conscious awareness of
its own existence.
Kierkegaard says: "The supreme
paradox of all thought is the attempt to discover something that thought cannot
think."
One definition of consciousness refers to our individual
awareness of our unique thoughts, memories, feelings, sensations and
environment. Another is variously defined as subjective experience, awareness,
the ability to experience "feeling", wakefulness, the understanding
of the concept "self".
Once we establish identification with 'consciousness',
there is the next awareness, 'cosmic consciousness'. Oh my, what is
that?
Wikipedia--defines cosmic consciousness as the concept
that the universe exists as an interconnected network of consciousness,
with each conscious being linked to every other. Sometimes this is conceived as
forming a collective consciousness which spans the cosmos, other times it is
conceived of as an Absolute or Godhead from which all conscious beings emanate.
Now we get into an abstract idea that, that which we call God, is the original creative force of the
energy vibration that makes up the Universe. Which leads us to the
concept that we are all a part of that God/Creator
In my novel, 'Annon's Secret Something Within', Annon
tries to explain this to Tony, who has angrily asked what Annon meant about a
power within, a secret something within.
“Whatever name you want to use for the Power , Tony. Some call
it God, and some call it Creative Energy. It has been called by many names:
Divine Intelligence; Spirit; Soul; Allah; Yahweh, and Jehovah. What you call it
isn’t important.” Annon’s gaze penetrates the anger in Tony’s eyes. “It is a
universal Power, and when you identify and accept it, you will use it to change
your life.”*
Is
that Universal Power, by whatever name we use, the Creator that we are
connected to? Is it the ultimate energy flow that is within all that is
of this Universe? Is it consciousness, and if so, is it higher
consciousness? Could it possibly be that the same Creative Power we call
God, is the same Creative Power called Allah? There is but one
God/Allah, but many interpretations which is what has led to 'Holy Wars'.
I believe it would be a more perfect world if we could all reach our higher consciousness, realize we are all products of the one Creator, and we are all one? If we
could not demand that everyone follow just one set of man made rules as in the
Bible and the Koran, but follow the one rule of treating others as we would
want them to treat us?
Wouldn't it be
wonderful if by connecting with our higher consciousness, by becoming one with
our Creator, we could all live in a world of peace?
